Don't Lose It

Once, I was in a van that lost a hubcap. It was a surreal experience as I am the one who gathers them and never wants to lose them. I was riding shotgun as we were driving west bound toward the sunset on the highway... zoooom... and pop, off it came and it all happened so fast but I recall watching it in the side mirror as it bounced down the highway and broke into pieces. No rescuing it for sure.
