be careful

As a roadside hubcap rescuer, you must keep your safety in mind. Here's a list of things to keep in mind while rescuing caps...

Do NOT pick them up on the side of a busy interstate highway (I've been tempted to do this, considering 64/40 is a goldmine of hubcaps).
DO travel with a friend. It's more fun this way!
Do NOT retrieve caps during a busy time on the road. We usually wait until the roads are nearly empty. Around 11pm is a prime hubcap hunting time.
DO use your emergency blinkers.
Do NOT rescue a hubcap if you think its going to put you in a dangerous situation. It's not worth it.
